Moderation
Comments on the FMP blog are moderated before they are published to check they comply with the participation guidelines above.
If comments don’t comply, they will not be published.
Here is a brief outline of how we evaluate comments:
Step 1: Is this comment ‘on topic’, does it add value to the discussion and can Defra answer publicly?
If so, publish the comment with or without a response.
Our content team will focus on comments that are 'on topic' for the post they sit under. To stay on topic, we ask that your comments be about details covered in the post so that the comment section is a useful addition to the post and adds value to the topic.
Step 2: Is this person asking for information or commenting on details relating to something not covered in the post?
This would not be on topic so pass the comment onto the relevant team. The comment will not be published.
Step 3: Is this comment venting frustration or anger?
Refer to the participation guidelines and discuss the next steps with the relevant team.
