FMP consultation webinar recordings to help you have your say

Posted by: , Posted on: - Categories: - Defra led FMPs, Public consultation

Last week, we ran webinars to explore two of the four draft fisheries management plans (FMPs) currently out for consultation.

Find videos of the webinars online:

▶️ Celtic Sea and Western Channel demersal FMP

▶️ Celtic Sea and Western Channel pelagic FMP

If you couldn’t join the webinars, these videos are an easy way to access the information at a time that suits you.

Each video explains:

  • What the draft FMP covers.
  • How it was developed and who we have spoken to so far.
  • The main actions and policy proposals in the plan.
  • How to find more details.
  • How to respond to the consultation via online survey, email or post and by attending an in-person event.

Getting ready for an in-person consultation event

If you are planning to attend one of our in-person consultation events, these videos will help you get ready.

They give you the basics, so you can arrive ready to share your views and ask questions about the proposals.

We are now taking bookings for in‑person events happening across the South West for these FMPs. Spaces are limited, so we encourage early registration.

Find full details and reserve your place from our events page.

At these events, we want to hear from you. Your experience and views help us improve the plans.

Want to know how the events will run- read our FAQ’s here.

Supporting your consultation response

The videos are also a helpful guide for finding your way around the consultation documents to prepare your own consultation response.
